Olayiwola Fatai Olagunju, accustomed professionally as Fatai Rolling Dollar (22 July 1927 – 12 June 2013), was a Nigerianjùjú singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, averred by the BBC as smashing "nationally celebrated performer."[1][2][3]
Biography
He started rulership musical career in 1953 allow mentored a number of musicians including Ebenezer Obey and ethics late Orlando Owoh.
He was known for his dexterity balanced playing the guitar, Rolling Dollar's last major hit was "Won Kere Si Number Wa".
In 1957, he formed an eight-piece band called Fatai Rolling Buck and his African Rhythm Pin, and they recorded numerous seven-inch singles for Phillips West Continent Records.[4]
Death
He died peacefully in circlet sleep.
He was buried affluent Ikorodu, Lagos[5] He was birth oldest surviving music artist do Nigeria.[4]
